Trip Information of LANGTANG VALLEY GANJA LA PASS TREK

The best times for the Langtang Valley & Ganja La Pass Trek are spring and autumn/fall. Spring begins in March and ends in May, and autumn begins in September and ends in November.

Springtime, with longer sunshine hours, is one of the best seasons for drives, treks, and various adventures. As well as for stunning views of the Himalayan Mountain ranges, cold mornings, within the shade, and at night.
Late afternoon can get overcast with light rain and snowfall sometimes.
Late spring, from March to May, when wildflowers are in seasonal bloom.
Especially the rhododendrons of various colors and species, it is the national flower of Nepal.

Autumn begins in September and ends in November, one of the best times for trekking to Everest and other Himalayan regions. During autumn, most days are clear, for clear views and exciting walks. But with shorter sunshine hours. It gets dark by 5 p.m.  Most days are bright with sunshine, except for snowfall sometimes above 3,000 m. Cold mornings, and in the shade, nights, but with clear, starry nights.

Nepal is a country of great diversity of landscape and people with their age-old religions, cultures, and heritage. The mid-hill people around the high Langtang Himal area of Rasuwa District are predominantly Tamang.
The highlanders of Central and Mid-East and West Himalayas, the Tamang, are the indigenous ethnic tribes of Nepal.
With a history of 5,000 years or more, the Tamang migrated to Nepal from Inner Mongolia through Tibet. The Tamang follow the Buddhist religion and culture, similar to their early Tibetan predecessors. On walks to Langtang Valley and Helambu, you will come across many Buddhist monuments and shrines as well as monasteries.
The religious monuments include a series of prayer walls and spinning wheels, with impressive monasteries of spiritual and cultural interest.
Tamang also practices the ancient Bon cult, a pre-Buddhism and Shamanism, having witch doctors as well as Buddhist Lamas and priests.

It is suitable for adventure lovers who are keen on the complete wilderness of the Himalayas. It is a moderate trek with a touch of high altitude from Langtang Village onwards to Kyanjin Gompa, within the Langtang Valley.
The most adventurous and challenging part of the adventure is going through Ganja-La Pass. In snow conditions, it can be quite technical; without snow or ice, all members, staff, and porters will be on fixed ropes.
For safety measures and precautions for deep falls. The rest of the trek is pleasant, with long hours of walking to Tarke Gyang. So, it depends on how one can take these adventures before booking with us.

Preparation for the Langtang Valley & Ganja-La Pass trek, after planning and interest, and staying fit and healthy. Check with the airlines for a direct flight to Kathmandu. Including prices of respective airlines that fly to Kathmandu from Europe, Asia, Australia, or the USA. in tented camps.

The lodge accommodation and food are of moderate standard. The lodge accommodations at Syabrubesi, Lama Hotel, and Langtang Village are simple, with nice rooms. Most lodges provide common bathrooms and toilets. At Syabrubesi and Kyanjin Gompa, the lodges are of tourist standard. Offers rooms with attached bathrooms and toilets, at most places like Lama Hotel and Langtang Village. Rooms will be with common toilets and bathrooms, due to harsh terrain conditions.
The plumbing systems for running water freeze in the morning, evening, and nighttime. Due to freezing temperatures from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa, using hot showers is at an extra cost.

All lodges have electricity to light the large dining room, powered by local hydro or solar power. For charging electronic items, at an extra cost per hour, and for each gadget. Internet and Wi-Fi are available, but it is slow and unreliable in some places due to weather conditions. On camping with Gas or Kerosene lamps to light the dining tent only.

Treatment and Remedies:
Altitude mountain sickness is easier to treat in the early stage.
The treatment for all forms of mountain sickness is to head down to a lower altitude. Accompanied and supported by the guide and staff. Extra oxygen should be given if available. People with severe altitude mountain sickness should be admitted to a hospital or evacuated by the fastest means of transportation. Likewise, using the support of the Helicopter Service. Some doctors suggest Acetazolamide (Diamox), which makes you feel better. If you are trekking at higher altitudes. It also helps you to reduce mild symptoms. This medicine works best before you start the trek and to higher altitudes. The company suggests all clients consult with their doctor or medical personnel.

Langtang Valley & Ganja-La Pass Trek, or other adventures around the Nepal Himalayas. Trekkers should be aware beforehand that Nepal is a country with highlands, and mid-hills include the highest mountainous landscapes.

The route heads with a steep climb for a few hours to reach Ganja-La Pass. It could be demanding and challenging in snow conditions; all members need the support of fixed ropes.

Including ferrying the load of camping gear, porters, and staff, and once over the pass to safe ground. The rest of the walk is pleasant and enjoyable back into the woods of tall rhododendrons, oaks, pines, and fir trees.
