The first part of the adventure leads you to scenic Poon Hill for stunning sunrise views. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is a moderate adventure to enjoy the walk around the high hills of the Annapurna Himalayan range.
The journey begins from beautiful Pokhara, renowned for its scenic locations, in the close shadow of the Annapurna Himalayas. Pokhara City is known as the Valley of Lakes, which makes Pokhara, a leading tourist destination for all types of adventures.
From Pokhara, lead you towards the west on the high hills of Ulleri and Ghorepani Mountain Villages. Located amidst a forest of rhododendrons and pine trees, it is also well-known as the world’s largest natural garden of rhododendrons.
Ghorepani is famous for the scenic Poon Hill, after the hike to Poon Hill with glorious views of sunrise. Enjoying the spectacular panorama of the Himalayan Mountain ranges, from Ghorepani and Poon Hill, then head towards Annapurna base camp. The walks lead uphill towards the east through lovely rhododendrons and pine trees with a grand vista of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himal. The walk reaches Tadapani a small settlement, located en route to Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp. The walk heads downhill to Kimrong Khola/ stream with a climb to Sinuwa past the nice village of Chomrong.
Then on the high trail to Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp, the walk leads towards Modi River gorge. The walk finally enters the picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary outlined by amphitheaters of giant snow peaks.
Slowly the walk reaches the Annapurna Base Camp, beneath the great snow walls of Annapurna-I. The world’s tenth-highest peak and the first 8,000-meter peak ever climbed in mountaineering history. The first ascent was by a French Expedition in 1950, three years ahead, before Mt. Everest was summited.
This makes the Annapurna Base Camp special and exclusive, standing on the highest spot of adventures. The Annapurna base camp is surrounded by towering mountains from Annapurna-I, Gangapurna, and Vara Shikhar Himal.
Includes Annapurna South, Huin-Chuli, with Tent Peak/Tharpu Chuli and majestic Machhapuchare Himal, the famous Fish-Tail Peak. After a mind-blowing panorama of the snow mountain ranges, the return journey follows the same trail to Chomrong Village. Then our route diverts heading south to a nice village of Jhinu Danda, a place with natural hot springs.

Morning catch the views of Annapurna peaks, enjoy a good breakfast then getting ready for few hours of drive. The drive follows on the main Pokhara and Baglung, Beni Highway for 2 hours. Then the route diverts heading towards Nayapul Town

An early morning start with an hour climb to catch the striking sunrise from the top of Poon Hill. The trail follows to a steep up within cool air, then reach on top of Poon Hill. Enjoy the morning glory facing stunning sunrise views, as it reflects over an array of white Himalayan peaks. Fabulous panorama of the world’s three highest mountain range, Mt. After a refreshing morning down to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek uphill into beautiful rhododendron tree lines.
The climb leads to the top of Deurali high ridge, offers grand views of
Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range of peaks.
From here down to a gorge reaching a small place of Bhanthati for lunch and then walk down to a stream. An hour climb to reach Tadapani for overnight halt with number of fine lodges. Tadapani a scenic spot for close views of Annapurna South, Huin-Chuli with towering Machhapuchare Himal.

Enjoy the morning views from Tadapani, start the longest day walks of the trip. Morning walk follows downhill into a dense wood of pines and rhododendron trees, reaching Kimrong Khola a stream. Crossing the bridge and then steep up for an hour reaching on a nice level village path.
Then following a gradual path and down to Chomrong village for lunch stop.
One of the largest village of Gurung people, the main tribes of Annapurna region. Afternoon walk downhill path on stone steps to Chomrong Khola, to cross a short bridge. From Sinuwa, a moderate day walk of less than six hours morning walk follows through deep forest. The trail leads down to Modi River gorge at Bamboo, a small settlement amidst forest of bamboos and rain forest. Continue walk up to Dovan, a place with few lodges for possible lunch stop. After lunch walk leads to climb above the river reaching at Himalaya Hotel. Situated close to a huge overhanging cave named Hinko. From here a short down over moraine debris of rocks and then a climb to Deurali for overnight stop. A nice settlement with 4-5 nice lodges, situated on a flat plateau above the Modi River.

Spring Seasons:
The spring season begins from March and end in May, a lively and high seasons for trekking and various adventures. Including Annapurna Base Camp Trekking, spring season when wildflowers are in blooming times. Especially, the rhododendrons of various species and colors, it is also the nation flower.
Spring time when days are much longer with sunlight hours from early 5:30 a.m. till late 6 p.m. Which allows trekkers to cover longer distances before the sunset by late afternoon. Morning is much cold, depending upon the elevation, as well as late afternoon till nighttime. Can get cloudy during afternoon with cold wind-chill factor, expect light snow fall above 3,000 meters. While it might rains below 2,000 meters, nevertheless it is a wonderful season for trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
Autumn Seasons:
Autumn/Fall is another peak times for trekking around the Himalayas, as well as for various adventures. Including Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill Trekking,
autumn or fall begins from September and last till November.
An enjoyable time for clear views and pleasant walks, but days are short and gets dark soon by 5:30 p.m. Morning and late afternoon till nighttime are cold can expect light snowfall sometimes. Especially from Deurali onwards to Annapurna Base Camp, more or less it is an enjoyable season. Sunshine with clear fine day although gets dark soon and with late sunrise from 6 p.m.
Winter Seasons:

Winter trekking to Annapurna Base Camp will be enjoyable during Christmas and New Year Holidays. Can enjoy walking in the snow above Deurali onwards to Annapurna Base Camp, get snow fall below 2,000 meters sometimes.
Trekkers will be surprised to find various standards of lodge accommodation en route Ghorepani and Chomrong Village. From simple tourist standards to moderate lodge accommodations, having attached baths and toilets.
But most lodge like in Tadapani, Sinuwa till Annapurna Base Camp the accommodation are simple. Offers, common baths and toilets, with extra charge for using hot showers. The dining rooms are large and cozy with a fireplace, keeping the environment warm, while you enjoy the meals.
Most lodges provide a comprehensive food menu, includes a wide variety of breakfasts, from oats, porridge, and cornflakes. Bread, Chapatti, Pancakes with choices of eggs from scrambled, boiled, poached, and omelets.
Followed by hot refreshing drinks, tea, coffee, and drinking chocolates. Lunch and dinner with a list of continental, Indian, Nepali, Chinese, and Tibetan/ Sherpa foods. Some lodge restaurants in Ghorepani and Chomrong also provides Mexican, Italian, Japanese, and Korean foods, including fresh bakery items.
All dining rooms are bright with lamps run by local hydroelectricity or from solar power. Most lodges provide free internet and Wi-Fi, which is quite, slow and disturbing. Due to landscapes and weather conditions on designated overnight stops. For larger groups of more than 4 people, best to have a set menu, this saves time, and fuel energy. As well as following rules and norms of Eco or Responsible Tourism.
For Annapurna Base Camp trekking, although the altitude gains gradually, without difficulty of getting HAS (High Altitude Sickness). But all should be physically fit and in sound health. For a person with a medical history and special dietary, please inform Loong Adventures. So that the company will make necessary arrangements, on booking for this adventures. All members needs to obtain Travel and Medical Insurance in case of unfortunate incidents and accidents.
Sometimes, treks might have to be re-routed to other safe destinations due to broken trails by avalanches and rock falls. As well with the unfavorable bad weather, which will obstruct the standard itinerary days.
If some members get seriously ill, needs immediate evacuation. By fastest means of transportation or using a Helicopter service to the nearest hospital.
In this condition, the trekker has to bear all the extra expenses as well as for accompanying staff. Should be claimed from the insurance company for the extra expenses incurred. The company and medical doctors will provide a supporting letter so that you can claim the reimbursement from your insurance.
For Annapurna Base Camp Treks, all participant should be physically fit,
and in good health. All age groups can join, to a maximum of 70 years old and
minimum age of 10-12 years. But must accompanied by parents or guardians,
