The morning after a hearty breakfast, depart from the hotel for an exciting overland journey down south to Chitwan. An interesting journey on Nepal’s main busy highway, heading downhill to warmer foothills and following the Trisuli River. Trisuli is a popular river for rafting, where one reaches Chitwan also floating downstream on Trisuli River. The drive leads through many farm villages and towns, heading due south along the Trisuli River.

Observe the country landscapes as it changes, the hills slowly disappear entering the flat low-land of the Terai belt. Entering the major cities of Chitwan district at Naryanghat and Bharatpur, then leaving the main highway. As drive leads to rural towns and farm areas reaching Sauraha a small town located close by the Chitwan National Park. At Sauraha, where all nice hotels, lodges, and resorts are located then transfer to respective hotels for two overnights. On arrival received by the manager and naturalist, here you will be briefed regarding the jungle activities programs.

Includes information on the area and Chitwan national park as well as the local native the Tharu. The Tharu an indigenous tribe of low-land Terai, spread from Far East to Western Nepal. After gathering important information on briefing check into a lovely room and enjoy lunch in a huge hut, that serves as a dining room.

The program as per the group and customers of respective hotels, begins early morning before breakfast. Where all should be ready by 6 a.m. just having refreshment drinks, the program varies for each group.

The programs are as follows:
Nature or Bird Watching Tour, as well Machan / Observation Tower visit.
Elephant safari for a few hours within Chitwan National Park’s dense jungles.

After the morning activities back at the hotel for breakfast, a short rest, and join in for other activities. Either enjoy the dugout canoe ride to observe river birds, or crocodiles of two species Marsh Mugger, or freshwater Gangetic Crocodile.

After a pleasant float, walks into the forest and back to the hotel by lunchtime.
Having lunch with time to relax till 3 p.m. Jungle activities continues as follows.

Either elephant safari (if not done in the morning) jungle walks or jungle drive, as well as nature walks or visit the Tharu village and local museum of Tharu cultures.

Morning optional tour either elephant ride, bird watching, or nature walks of few hours. Then back to the lodge for breakfast, after getting ready transfer to a vehicle for an exciting drive back to Kathmandu. The drive leads on the same highway taking about 5 hours or more depending on road and traffic conditions.
